AWARD (Innovative Aquifers Governance for Resilient Water Management and Sustainable Ecosystems in Stressed Mediterranean Agricultural Areas) aims at enhancing water management by integrating Alternative Water Resources (AWR) into strategic planning. 16 partners work on the project, coming from over 7 countries, the ambition is to provide evidence-based knowledge and lessons learned on the effective integration of affordable, acceptable, and reliable AWR solutions tested and monitored in 4 Demo Cases (Circus Lake Bucharest, Romania; Metropolitan city of Milan, Italy; Cyprus; Santiago de Compostela, Spain). AWARD has received funding from the European Union’s under Horizon Europe programme, Grant agreement n° 101136987

IRIDRA is mainly involved in WP5, specifically Demo case 2 in Milan metropolitan area (Italy), participating in the monitoring of some recently installed SUDS (sustainable urban drainage systems) in the city and its province.
